Excellent seafood restaurant with options for gluten sensitivity. Try the walnut crust haddock, it's just wonderful! Service is always great. Their mashed potatoes are just divine, nothing is ordinary here. My place to go for seafood!

Food was decent wait time wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t speedy (40 minutes ) But also not something you couldn’t make at home yourself.Was the food good sure but I didn’t see myself going back while I was eating my supper.Over all was just par and expected it to be above with all the hits and good reviews I’ve seen. Middle of the boat for pricey 60$ for two people just mains no drinks no apps nothing else This included the tip. Decent food but will not return at it’s given price point

Fantastic! I didn't want to leave, the lobster club was simply amazing. Large amounts of chunks of lobster meat. One of the best sandwiches on the East coast

Oh my goodness! This place is amazing!! The tartar sauce is to die for and the coleslaw is delicious. We had the Ships Ahoy platter and the fish burger and both were fabulous. We couldn't stop talking about how flavorful the food was and how generous the servings were. It was a very good amount of food for the price.The service was very good and quick. I am thoroughly impressed!

We love this place and go there often when the restaurant is open. BUT did the order and pick up tonight to try it and was so disappointed. The size of the fish was like a long skinny banana. Not like we are used to getting when we order our usual 2 fish one chip. Will not be doing that again. Really disappointed.

I've never had anything bad at Skipper Jack's. Fish taco day on Tuesday is amazing. The owner goes out of his way to get local ingredients.

Great food..great prices..great service

This place actually has the best seafood in the city. It seems to be a hidden gem as it's never really that busy but the food coming out of the kitchen is cooked perfectly. Plus they have a decent fish taco Tuesday. Do not judge by the exterior when you drive by as the restaurant is the real deal. Most of the fish, scallops, clams etc are all local. And it's not only about fish, their poutines are well made in a variety of flavours with rotating specials you wouldn't have known you wanted.

Started with the calamari and had the walnut breaded fish as a main. First time seeing nuts in fish breading, but it gave the filets a very interesting taste!

There was glass in my ice cream about 7 years ago, glad to see nothing has changed. It adds a nice textural variation t'the soft creem and whatnot. Unfortunatley, did not see any food, and neithr did my wife's boyfriend. My wife said she thought she saw a crab, be then changed her mind. 5 stars

This restaurant is great every day of the week, but I especially love Tuesdays as they offer Taco Tuesdays with $2.50 Fish Tacos. They are sweet and savory, and light. They have a mixture of house made corn salsa, and a spicy cream sauce. They are absolutely delicious. I’ve also had a number of other dishes here, including the fish, and the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. The quality of the food that comes out is always consistently delicious. I highly recommend trying this restaurant!

Don't be fooled - this restaurant gives the appearance of a fast food restaurant, but it's not. It was the best meal we ate and we've had some pretty awesome seafood while in the Maritimes. The chowder was generous, full of seafood and I'll go out on the limb and say that it's the best I've had in my life. And I come from a family of fishermen & grew up eating seafood. We also had the lobster roll which was to die for!

We decided to visit here for lunch today. What a pleasant experience! The place was clean, and the service was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable, and helpful in her suggestions. Our kids ordered the grilled cheese and popcorn shrimp off of the kids menu, and were very happy. My wife ordered the fish and chips and commented that these were the best she had ever had. I ordered the Ships A-Hoy Platter....good amount of food and the seafood was excellent. Oh, the hand cut fries were very good also! Thanks for a great meal!!

Fresh fish , not frozen. Excellent cooking, not over or under cooked. Excellent batter with pretzel parmesan, and the other one with walnuts. Cozy and great service. 😋

Went in for a lobster roll combo but couldn’t swap the coleslaw so just grabbed the lobster roll. Nice big bun, not bad amount of lobster, nasty lettuce was hiding underneath. Docked a star for lettuce, not swappable coleslaw, and a bit pricey.

Our server was amazing - very friendly and helpful. The seafood chowder was outstanding ... loaded with seafood & no potato filler. Excellent. The fish tacos were good, but not great. The only reason we didn't rate 5 stars is because the fries were not very fresh - lukewarm & it seemed like the oil needed changing too. Other than that, it was a great experience & a clean, well-kept place.

Rare legit seafood at value price Got the seafood platter and although it looks kind of small they plate it too humbly. This is so legit so many places say seafood and few deliver! This platter; the clam strips are big, juicy and fresh. The scallops are huge and succulent. Shrimps are delicious and the price for all this is serious value. Highly recommend.

Omg this place is amazing! The gluten-free options are small but so mighty, I never thought I would love a sea food chowder so much and a wonderful peanut butter cheese cake. My husband said the fish and chips where the best he ever had. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, service wonderful and place is so nice. Thank you for such a great experience.

Stopped in on the recommendation of a local. Was not disappointed. Enjoyed the Parmesan and Pretzel crusted fish, with coleslaw, and my coworker convinced me to have the Hot Mess dessert. I am happy that I am easily led, because everything was spot on, including the Pump House Blueberry Ale. The service was very good, and the staff, very friendly.

The mussels were great as was the seafood chowder. My wife also enjoyed her fried scallops. Service was especially good which we appreciated very much given that we arrived just before closing.

Awesome!! We had 8 people order a variety of dishes, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I found the price for a few things was a bit more than the portion size was worth - but really that was just personal opinion. If you are looking for amazing seafood, look no further and give them a try! :)

Love Tuesday night fish taco. Great flavor great price

Good lobster roll and the seafood chowder is a favourite as promised. Fish and chips were OK, but very battered and a bit oily. Good news is everything is fresh with the larger crowds. Better to visit off-hours if you want to sit quickly.

First time there and it was Great!!! The food was delicious and staff was friendly. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Was there around 1pm.

Food is great but a little pricey

Good food, reasonable pricing and friendly. The gentleman who greeted us at the door to sit us down was very polite, friendly and sincere in his actions. Very welcoming man and helped us with questions we had on what to eat. Busy place but turned tables over quickly (not rushed to eat). As stated, food was fresh and tasty.

We were on our way back home to Ontario. Craving fish and chips. Asked around for a good place to eat. Skipper Jack's won. They didn't disappoint!

The best clam chowder we had ! Seafood platter was ok at best , the shrimps and scallop were very good but the clams were barely there.. fish tacos was good ! Would come again for clam chowder !

Waitress mentioned facebook special, it was perfect. My favorite was the scallops as they were so fresh and yummy! Plate had clams, scallops, 1 piece of fish, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, all for $15.99

This place is frikin' amazing. Friendly staff. Clean joint. I came for the memes, stayed for the food.

Oh, man... try the lobster poutine. Staff were friendly, place was clean and well maintained. Prices were fair. Had we been in town longer I would have gone back to try more on their menu because everything looked great. Went with the lobster poutine and it was incredible.

Taco Tuesday, definitely work it. So tasty.

Skipper Jack's in Moncton has a homemade chowder that rocks. My wife gave me one bite, and I thought it was excellent. She scarfed the rest of the bowl, and looked like she wanted to lick the bowl at the end. My deep fried scallops (on a bed of french fries) was excellent. I would have preferred more scallops, and I could've bought the larger dish, but they were perfectly done, a crispy crust around a succulent and moist scallop. Oh, Yum!

amazing food and service! the waitress recommended the cesar salad with bacon scallops, garlic shrimp and sauteed mushrooms. They were 20 minutes before closing and still went out of their way to accommodate them. Would definitely recommend over the other options (Montana's and rotisserie). Also for those who aren't seafood friends the chicken tenders are unreal 10/10 would hands down recommend.

I yelped a fish and chips place in Moncton, I'm new to the area. I also love fish and chips. This place was highly rated, and it delivered. I asked what kind of fish it was, and it was Haddock, and that's my favorite. I had an awesome meal, and have been back. And I will go back again. And again....

Great food, quick service.

A low key restaurant that seems to be newly renovated. The chowder was phenomenal, there were huge chunks of fish, scallops, and lobster. It was creamy and had a nice little roll to go with it. I tried to eat the ships ahoy platter as well but it was way too much for one person. The platter was all deep fried so it can get to your stomach quite quickly. I found the clams were a bit too oceany. Would definitely come back here though.

In-town seafood with a decent selection. A little pricey compared to going to some other seafood outlets. The car park could use some work. Great service and clean restaurant with good food.
